Wammoth Services Service Policies

Our goal is to provide professional inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and installation services for gas fireplaces and other gas-fueled appliances. Because every appliance is unique in age, condition, installation, and maintenance history, the following Service Policies and Terms help establish a clear understanding of the services we provide and what you can expect throughout the process.

  1. Scope of Service

Wammoth Services specializes in the inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, repair, replacement, and installation of gas-fueled fireplaces and related appliances.

Services are limited to the appliance and accessible components identified during the appointment. Unless specifically included in a written proposal, our services do not include evaluation or certification of the entire gas piping system, venting system, electrical system, chimney structure, building construction, or work previously performed by others.

If additional concerns are discovered during the appointment, recommendations will be discussed before any work outside the original scope is performed. No additional repairs or replacement work will be completed without customer authorization.

If the person requesting service is not the property owner, that individual represents that they have the authority to request service and approve recommendations on behalf of the property owner.

  1. Appliance Condition and Service Expectations

Gas appliances are mechanical systems that naturally wear over time. Their condition is influenced by age, frequency of use, installation quality, environmental conditions, maintenance history, and previous repairs or modifications.

Many conditions cannot be fully identified until the appliance has been inspected, partially disassembled, tested, or repaired. As a result, additional diagnostics, repairs, replacement parts, or appliance replacement may be recommended after service begins.

Components that are worn, corroded, deteriorated, seized, or otherwise compromised may fail during normal inspection or servicing because of their existing condition rather than the work being performed. Completion of one repair may also reveal another condition that could not reasonably be identified beforehand.

Unless specifically stated in writing, Wammoth Services does not provide a warranty or guarantee that an appliance can be restored to proper operation or that additional repairs will not become necessary after service.

  1. Service Limitations

The quality and extent of service depend upon reasonable access to the appliance and its serviceable components. Certain installations may limit access because of tile, stone, cabinetry, drywall, framing, flooring, built-in construction, or other surrounding materials.

In cases where Wammoth Services did not originally install the appliance and were unable to verify proper installation, modifications, repairs, or services performed by others. Service is limited to inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and operational testing of accessible components.

Following completion of service, any subsequent adjustments, repairs, alterations, relocation, or modifications performed by others may affect appliance operation and are outside the scope of Wammoth Services' responsibility.

Recommendations provided during the appointment are based solely upon conditions observed at the time of service and are intended to assist the customer in making informed decisions regarding the appliance.

  1. Payment and Scheduling

Payment is due upon completion of service unless other arrangements have been approved in writing.

Estimates are based upon conditions visible at the time they are prepared. Additional labor, materials, or repairs may become necessary if concealed conditions or previously unknown issues are discovered during the service appointment. Any additional work requiring additional charges will be discussed with the customer before proceeding.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 2 business day notice may be subject to a cancellation fee (up to $200.00) and loss of promotional savings.  If technicians are unable to access the property, the appliance is not available for service, required utilities are unavailable, or the appointment cannot be completed due to conditions beyond Wammoth Services' control, a minimum service charge will apply ($200.00).

Past-due balances may be assessed applicable late fees, collection costs, and other charges permitted by law.

  1. General Terms

By requesting service, scheduling an appointment, authorizing work, or permitting Wammoth Services to perform services at the property, the customer acknowledges that these Terms and Conditions govern the services provided.

Wammoth Services is committed to performing services in a professional and workmanlike manner consistent with generally accepted industry practices. Because appliance condition, installation methods, prior repairs, and factors outside our control vary from property to property, Wammoth Services cannot guarantee the future performance or continued operation of any appliance.

To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, Wammoth Services shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from conditions that existed before the service appointment, concealed conditions, work performed by others, customer modifications, or circumstances outside the scope of the services provided. Any liability arising from services performed shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service visit giving rise to the claim.  These terms & conditions may be updated at any time.  For the latest version, please visit our website:  https://wammothservices.com/terms

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement regarding the services provided unless modified in writing by Wammoth Services. If any provision is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
