Wammoth Services LLC is a licensed contractor in the state of Virginia with designation in gas fitting and HVAC. ย ย Wammoth Services provides in-home services for gas fireplace to residential and limited commercial clients. Wammoth specializes in gas fireplaces; servicing, repairing, installing gas fireplace units as well as other gas line projects.ย  Specializing in gas fireplaces including, service, repair, installation of gas fireplaces, wood to gas fireplace conversions, as well as other gas line or gas-fueled projects.ย  Wammoth Services does not offer service, repair, or cleaning for wood-burning appliances.

Wammoth Services does not have a physical retail or showroom location. Natural or Liquid Propane Gas Fuel

Wammoth Services recommends and encourages all customers to be alert and aware of gas fuel when operating their gas fireplace.ย  Never leave a gas fireplace unattended while the unit is in operation.ย  Always supervise children and pets around a gas fireplace.

If a customer smells or even thinks they smell gas or other unexplained burning smells, quickly and safely evacuate the premises with any other household members. ย Contact the proper authority: the gas utility company, propane supplier, or emergency services such as 911 IMMEDIATELY.

Do not attempt to use any gas appliance (such as a fireplace) if the appliance is not operating as intended, has been modified, does not have a shut off valve for the gas supply, there is a gas smell, or if the appliance has been tagged or noted by the utility company, an inspector, another technician, or homeowner until the gas fireplace has been inspected and/or repaired by a qualified/certified gas fireplace professional.

Service and Repair

A gas fireplace is an appliance that requires an annual service per the manufacturer, including, but not limited to; inspection, cleaning, tune-up and minor adjustments.ย  Every gas fireplace service is unique.ย  ย Changes to the services provided with the gas fireplace service or additional services required are at the technicianโ€™s discretion. ย The estimated service price provided at the time of scheduling is based on information submitted on the online request or other communication.ย  Our technician will discuss any price adjustments at the time of appointment.ย  A final invoice will be provided upon completion of the appointment.

Additional fees may apply to our gas fireplace service; including, but not limited to, replacement parts, excessive cleaning fees, cleaning of additional glass panes or linear glass panes, vent clearing, assessment or review of the installation, and any other additional service that is considered beyond the scope of our annual gas fireplace service. Travel fees, seasonal fees, after-hour fees, credit card convenience fees, restocking fees or fees for optional add-ons may also apply.

SPECIAL NOTE for gas fireplaces that have not been maintained or serviced annually by a qualified service professional (as per the manufacturerโ€™s instruction) or if the service history is unknown:ย ย Customer accepts and understands the potential of unexpected issues which may develop when servicing a non-maintained gas fireplace.ย  Examples may include failure of the unit even if it was operational prior to the service, components may break or disintegrate during service, unit may exhibit unusual operation, unit may require return service appointments.ย  Subsequent repairs or servicing may be required.ย  Not all issues may be apparent or are able to be diagnosed initially and are not discovered until other required repairs are completed.ย  Wammoth Services does not guarantee or provide a warranty unless otherwise indicated by Wammoth Services, in writing.

Payment and Fees

Payment in full is expected at the end of the appointment. ย We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.ย  Credit card payments have a 4% convenience fee.ย  Check payments may be processed by bank deposit, mobile or other image deposit service, or ACH/electronic means.ย  Past due accounts for unpaid invoices will be subject to fees, including, but not limited to, late fees, return payment fees, monthly maintenance fee, collection, legal expenses.ย  Returned check payments may be re-presented without notification. ย Any payments returned to Wammoth Services that are not paid for any reason are subject to a return payment fee of $50.00.ย  Any exceptions to the invoice and payment policy must be made with Wammothโ€™s accounting department prior to the service appointment.

It is the responsibility of the customer to provide and verify the point of contact person and the contact information for the service appointment as well as the information regarding the legal homeowner or their authorized representative that will authorize any additional costs related to repairs or expenses that may arise at the time of service.ย  If the required contact information is not provided or is not accurate, the service charge for the current appointment will apply in addition to any necessary service appointments that may need to be scheduled.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy

Cancellation/Reschedule requests are appreciated as soon as possible and at least 2 business days prior to the scheduled appointment.ย  Requests must be received by Wammoth Services in writing, via email.ย  Requests received after the appointment reminders are emailed the day prior, the day of the appointment, or if the appointment is a no-show (point of contact is not at the service location) may result in a cancellation fee charged to the customer or forfeiture of a deposit paid.

Cancellation Fee Policy: A cancellation/reschedule fee will apply if the scheduled appointment is cancelled or rescheduled within the previous business day prior to the appointment.ย  An increased fee applies to multiple gas fireplace appointment, requests to cancel/reschedule when technician calls prior to arrival, the customer is a no-show at the appointment location, the customer or representative is a minor (under 18 years), not the legal homeowner, or is not authorized to make decisions, the appliance or service location is determined to be a safety hazard, or service could not be provided for any reason but the technician arrived at service location.ย  If technician reviewed the gas fireplace/appliance visually or discussed with a person at the location or a person for that location by phone, including text messaging, a minimum service charge may apply.

It is Wammoth Servicesโ€™ sole discretion regarding any pricing adjustments.ย  If the technician has started the service and has partially serviced/cleaned/inspected the gas fireplace, the service price will not be adjusted, regardless of the service outcome.ย  ย If the service has not started, the technician may adjust the price at his sole discretion.ย ย  The minimum service charge would be the current price of the basic trip charge.

Cancellation/Reschedule on the business day prior to the appointment

  • Single (1) Gas Fireplace: $100.00
  • Multiple Fireplaces: $100.00 + $50.00 for each additional fireplace

Day of appointment cancellation/reschedule fees

  • Single (1) Gas Fireplace: $175.00
  • Multiple Fireplaces: $175.00 + $50.00 for each additional fireplace
  • Changes in the scope of the appointment: $50.00 per fireplace + any discounts are forfeited

Other Fees

  • Repeated rescheduling requests: $10.00 for each request
  • Technician must wait for late arrival customer: $30.00 per 10-minute block (or partial). MAX time is 30 minutes and is at technicianโ€™s discretion

To reschedule the appointment, any fee(s) must be paid and/or a non-refundable deposit may be requested from the customer to confirm the new appointment.

Promotions, Programs, and Special Offers

Promotional discounts and/or credits are provided by Wammoth Services directly. Discounts/credits may be revoked, voided or not applied for any reason; including, but not limited to, 3rdย party offerings (such as coupon sites), customer status (new/existing), past due accounts, cancellation or reschedule requests for confirmed appointments, gas fireplaces not previously serviced by Wammoth Services, gas fireplaces serviced by other service providers, service location, prior recommendations made by Wammoth Services not followed, or use of credits or discounts beyond the expiration date.

Special opportunities offered in previous years may no longer be available.ย  Wammoth reserves the right to cancel any promotional program or offer without notice.ย  Please contact Wammoth if you have questions regarding past programs.

Deposits

Wammoth Services reserves the right to request a deposit from a customer prior to providing service and/or repair for any reason.ย  Wammoth will advise if a deposit is refundable or non-refundable at the time the deposit is requested.ย  Some examples include appointments with multiple gas fireplace services, special order items, replacement or new gas fireplace, gas line projects, scheduling difficulties, homes with an active sale listing, or during peak season.

Appointment Options/Opportunities

Wammoth Services offers scheduling options (appointment convenience) for an additional fee.ย  Options or opportunities may include specific arrival times/windows, earlier date availability during peak season, priority access to scheduling or savings/discounts. ย A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm an appointment with the additional appointment convenience option added.ย  Any exception to the non-refundable policy is at Wammoth Services sole discretion.

Special Order Items

Product that are a built-to-order item, custom item, or certain replacement parts for repair are considered special order parts.ย  Special order parts are not returnable and not refundable. ย Special order parts must be installed within 60 days of receipt by Wammoth Services, or the customer forfeits the special-order part and the non-refundable deposit. At Wammothโ€™s sole discretion, a storage option for the part may be offered to the customer on the condition that a storage fee is paid to Wammoth each month by customer. ย Restocking fees and/or acceptance of any product return is at Wammoth Servicesโ€™ sole discretion and decision.
